What is the NanoBlading Process?
Nano Brows are an incredible process that come with fantastic results. To give you a better idea of what to expect, we want to walk you through the two main stages.
First, you’ll work together with our expert, Shari Saint at Bare Fruit Sugaring & Brows in our Westbury location, to create your perfect brow shape and color. The initial procedure typically takes around two & a half hours, but we promise it’ll be totally worth it!
Next, you’ll need to allow your body to heal. This stage can take anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks, and it’s super important to follow the aftercare instructions provided by your artist to ensure proper healing and the best possible outcome.
Finally, we want to remind you that the perfecting session, which usually happens 4 to 6 weeks after the initial procedure, is crucial to complete the nanoblading process and achieve those perfect Nano brows. Pricing for this session is separate, so there are no up-front costs for you.

How do I know when I need an annual touch up?
Nanoblading lasts longer than microblading, creating a natural hair stroke look without harming your skin. While the brows may fade over time, you can touch them up more frequently without harm. When you start to notice that your brows are fading feel free to book a consultation so that Shari Saint can let you know if you are unsure, but choosing nanoblading is a smart choice for longevity and safety.
Do I need to avoid any activities afterwards?
To maintain perfectly shaped and pigmented brows, avoid excessive sweating, refrain from touching or itching, and keep hair away from your brows to avoid infection. Check this page for more info.
Can I get Nano Brows while pregnant or breastfeeding?
For the safety of our clients, we advise against receiving microblading or tattoos during pregnancy or breastfeeding. These procedures carry a risk of infection and may harm both the mother and baby. Lidocaine used in anesthetic can have adverse effects on the baby as well. The health and safety of our clients are our top priority. We hope you understand our concern and prioritize your health and your baby’s during this time.
What the healing time?
Taking care of your new eyebrows is important. Healing time varies based on age, lifestyle and skin type. Initial healing takes 7-10 days, during which it is safe to resume daily activities such as working out and wearing makeup. Complete healing takes 4-6 weeks and then touch-up appointments can be booked. Please monitor the healing process and follow the after care for success.
Can Nano Brows Hide my Eyebrow scars?
When dealing with scar coverage, consider the skin texture. Microblading may not work for you if it’s raised or discolored. There are other options like Nano Brows and Ombre, which provide a more natural look and fuller coverage respectively. Explore your options to find the suitable solution that suits your particular situation for best results.
When can I get botox?
To get the best results for Botox and microblading, allow your brows to settle for two weeks before Botox and one week after to prevent infection. If you get Botox before microblading, it may affect the placement of your brows. Trust our recommendations to avoid undesirable outcomes. How long can I expect it to last?
Microblading is a popular technique for enhancing eyebrows. However, like any tattoo, the results gradually fade over time. To maintain their appearance, it’s recommended to book annual color boosts. Research shows it can take up to 5 years for microblading to completely fade if left untouched. With color boosts every 12 to 18 months, you can prolong the look of your brows and achieve your desired look for a longer time. Don’t wait until they completely fade, book your annual color boosts to keep your brows looking their best!
Do I need to take off of work?
You do not need to take time off from work, but you should be mindful of the changes in your daily skin care routine. It is important to remember that you will experience some initial scabbing or peeling during the first week of the healing process, but do not fret! If you are concerned about attending an important event during this time, we recommend rescheduling or booking well in advance to alleviate any feelings of insecurity while your brows heal. Remember that taking these necessary precautions will ensure that you have the best possible results from your microblading procedure.
Can I wear Makeup after?
Be careful when applying makeup on wounds or after a microblading procedure. Dirty brushes or expired products can cause infection and compromise healing. It’s best to let freshly microbladed eyebrows heal without interference. Dont apply makeup, we want to ensure positive outcomes for your skin.
Is Nanoblading Safe?
Yes Nano Brows are Safe BUT most of the risks come from Untrained or unlicensed artists, use of non-sterile instruments, and improper aftercare by the client can cause risks and negative outcomes with PMU.

I have sensitive skin, now what?
However, we do want to disclose that there are potential side effects that you may experience. Firstly, it’s important to note that while you can still receive the procedure, your skin may be red and this redness could last for up to a week. On top of that, your healing process might take longer than others and you may even encounter swelling on the day of the microblading treatment. We also want to inform you that you may experience some bleeding during the procedure, and it could potentially cause you to feel some discomfort. Based on these potential risks, we would also like to introduce you to an alternate method known as Nano brows. This offers a more natural look which is less invasive, and could be a great solution.

How do I prepare?
- NO BOTOX: If you know, you know, it takes time for your forehead to settle. There should be a gap of at least 2 weeks between botox and your appointment. We don’t want to give you a new look that wont last. We want your brows to settle in their natural place.
- NO CAFFEINE: the day of; thins your blood and makes your bleed, which causes pain even with the epinephrine in the numbing solution
- NO ALCOHOL: for 24 hrs before; thins your blood and makes your bleed, which causes pain even with the epinephrine in the numbing solution
- NO ASPRIN: thins your blood for 24 hrs before.
- NO TANNING: as your tan fades it will take the tanned skin of the eyebrow with it therefore lightening your brows.
What is the Aftercare?
- NO SWEATING : The Salt in the sweat will eat away at the pigment causing the pigment to fade so fast. WHy spend money on your gorgeous brows only to ruin them. – low impact workouts are great!
- NO WETNESS: Besides washing your brows aka investment, NO SOAKING (baths), NO SAUNA, NO STEAM ROOM, NO SKINCARE, NO OILS, NO LONG SHOWERS; this can damage the pigment and the true color.
- NO MAKEUP: We want to avoid infections; let keep them clean and cosmetic- free!
- DONT PULL OR PICK ANY SCABS: you will pull out the pigment, let it fall off when it’s good and ready. It’s not as bad as you think.
- DONT TOUCH/DONT ITCH/ KEEP YOUR HAIR OFF YOUR NEW BROWS: we want to keep them infection free.

How long is the appointment?
During the 2.5 hour appointment, we take photos, customize a plan, numb the area, and apply the machine strokes for a beautiful and soft but fuller appearance. Measuring and drawing the brows is the longest part of the process to ensure they perfectly frame your face. The microblading application itself is an art form, taking around 45 minutes.
